04/09/20 to 10/09/20
Wage updates this week from HMRC resulted in no change for one of them as the existing avergae wage was unchanged. The other one had significantly higher wages which I updated back to 05/10/19 (this was as far back as the info went). The overpayment was only from March 2020 however as they were still below their applicable amount until that point in time.
A change of circumstances reported to us was for a non-dep moving out. The claimant is now subject to the 'bedroom tax' as a single person in a 2-bed property. Their entitlement increases however as the non-dep deduction was more than the bedroom tax.
This week it is now a month since I wrote to a customer asking about her son who has just turned 18. The claimant has not replied but having checked their UC award info on CIS it still includes the child element for 3 kids so I decided no action is required and that the 18 year old should still be classed as a dep in line with the DWP decision.
Nothing specifically new cropped up this week. Other work involved routing updating of UC monthly awards, changes of address etc.
Excellent work Paul.
