25/11/19 to 01/12/19 More ATLAS items every day including an allocation for Friday when the system was scheduled to be down all day. System came back early so I was able to do them. New hb/ctr claim evidence submission started. Currently awaiting ctr award to post onto the council tax account. Out of the ordinary scenario this week regarding a claimants wage received via a VEP task. The claimant had a one-off high monthly wage in September. When I queried it she provided a letter from her employer, Kirklees Council, which advised that the one-off payment was known as a 'Salary Framework' payment. The letter advised that the payment was designed to support a period of adjustment for employees losing pay due to service changes. Discussed with senior processor and we ignore this payment. Another VEP task from 2 weeks ago led to me doing a full review of a claimants income & savings. This led to the discovery that we had input one of his private pensions as paid monthl...
18/11/19 to 24/11/19 Put several ctr claims into payment which I had registered previously on receipt of new claim ATLAS items. The UC award info has now been received (via ATLAS) so entitlement can be assessed. Sent non-qualifier standard letter to those with no entitlement. This letter advises them that they have a claim and we will continue to assess any entitlement they might have as long as their UC claim is live without them needing to take any action. Updated wage info on Northgate in response to 'tasks' created automatically via the VEP system. One of these requires further enquiry as the customers child tax credit award has reduced and we haven't reviews their childcare costs in a long time. Routine work following on from diary entries - e.g to check on circs for dependants reaching the age of 18, to review self-employed income etc Processed two new ctr claims but forgot to take screenshots for the before and the after to use as evidence. More UC atlas o...
11/11/19 to 17/11/19 Further work arising from ATLAS updates. Also VEP tasks, i.e discrepancies between HMRC wage info for a customer in comparison to the wage info held by the LA. One of these identified a claimant who no longer qualified for hb/ctr. Was able to put council tax reduction into payment for several new claims received via ATLAS last month where the details of the UC award were now available this month (via ATLAS). Sorted out an hb claim for a council tenancy that had been ended as we had been told that the claimant had moved out. It turned out she had left fleeing violence. She had moved temporarily into homeless accommodation and then been rehoused by the council without ever returning to her original address. I was able to resume the hb for the original address and pay hb up to the day before her new tenancy started. We were also able to pay hb for the homeless accommodation. Study day on 14/11/19. Uploaded more evidence. Continued with BKSB online English course...
04/11/19 to 10/11/19 More general benefit processing as well as the weekly ATLAS allocation. Dealt with a case where the customer had reduced wages for a period of time. When I enquired whether had reduced his hours of work he advised that it was due to unpaid leave. He further advised the customer service officer that he had gone abroad. The CSO correctly asked him to provide his passport so we could see the visa stamps. These showed that his temporary absence abroad exceeded the permitted 4 weeks and I had to make him ineligible for that period. I have uploaded this as evidence for K1 Legislation. Uploaded evidence regarding a Right to Reside decision for a PFA for S7.2. Uploaded evidence for S1.1 following the successful home visit last week as the ctr had now been processed. Was now able to show the before and after screenshots of the council tax account. Also quoted this as evidence for K4 before I realised we had already completed this during the induction week. Further rea...
